On behalf of our client, the selected Apprenticeship candidates start their journey with technology training introducing fundamental software concepts. Upon completion and as you move through the Apprenticeship program, our team will partner with you, providing mentoring, professional development, and practical work experience, every step of the way. 

The Associate Software Engineer acts as a trainee level to contribute to product features, products, or systems under the guidance, mentorship, and direction of leaders and senior team members. The individual will gain exposure working in a B2B SaaS environment and will build their software engineering skill set.

      Meet the following requirements and you’re on your way to being considered for the program!

      ✓ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

      ✓ Passion for writing software and learning the latest software development techniques

      ✓ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

      ✓ Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement

      ✓ Ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment

      ✓ Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines

      ✓ Developing proficiency in programming to include a solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in one or more of: data structures, algorithms, object-oriented software design, and working with cloud-based distributed systems

      ✓ Experience working in modern programming languages such as Dart, JavaScript, Go, Java, Kotlin, Python, or C#

      ✓ Some experience debugging systems or applications

      ✓ Familiarity building one or more unit, integration, functional user acceptance, or contract tests

      ✓ Preference given to candidates who are military veterans and moms who are returning to the workforce

      HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS?

      1. Individuals who meet the entry qualifications will be selected for a pre-apprenticeship program.

      2. If selected, you will participate in a 12-week, in-depth online training working on projects gaining you real-world, competency-based experience.

      3. At any time during your employment, you are eligible to pursue a degree online with our online partner universities. WOZ pre-apprenticeship training easily articulates into college credits—making it easy to transfer into an accredited degree program.

      YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO MISS THIS.

      This limited-time hiring event includes:

      • 12-week competency-based online training ensuring essential Day-1 Skills for careers in software development
      • Starting salary of $65,000
      • Raise at 6 months: $70,000 

      • Raise upon completion of program (12 months): $75,000

      • After the second year on the job candidates begin working toward parity of $80-90k

      • Train-to-hire programs available at no cost and with no minimum experience
      • College credits and degree completion discounts to complete your bachelor’s while you work

      DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

      Candidates will be trained on one or more concepts and be deployed on Project to work on these trained concepts. Don’t know it all? Don’t worry! You’ll receive 12-weeks of training before you start!

      • Contribute to team projects and deliver individual level technical solutions
      • Perform Code Reviews within your team’s products or components
      • Test software and write automated tests (unit, integration, functional, etc.)
      • Debug components within your service or application context
      • Write and document code with clearly defined requirements
      • Communication individual work to your team
      • Assist in triaging and resolving production issues
      • Track job assignments and complete status updates using internal tools
      • Work in an Agile development methodology, attends standups, defines user stories, and implements development tasks
